Role Based Access Control (RBAC)

Outline

Overview

As enterprises scale and risk management becomes interconnected across multiple business units, teams, and vendors, maintaining secure and effective access control is foundational. To support complex enterprise operating structures, SAFE offers g ranular Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC).

This feature moves away from broad, static access models—where global "Admin" and "Viewer" roles were the only options—allowing you to create custom, fine-grained roles aligned with actual business ownership and operational responsibilities.

  • Custom Roles & Flexible Design: Organizations can design custom roles tailored to specific business functions, ensuring users only access what they need and take actions they are directly accountable for.
  • Hybrid Cross-Product Access: To mirror real-world operating models, you can configure hybrid access rules spanning all areas of SAFE One (CRQ, TPRM, CTEM, and AI-SPM).

Configuring RBAC

Navigate to Settings > Access Management > Roles. Click the blue plus sign to add a new role.
